Seasonal Market gardener

We are on a lookout for a full time seasonal gardener, working 4 days a week from Tuesday to Friday. The position involves a variety of garden tasks, including cultivating, transplanting, harvesting, and maintaining crops. The ideal candidate will have a passion for organic farming, a strong work ethic, and a desire to contribute to sustainable food production.

Ahi Garden is a small-scale spray free market garden based in Patumahoe, 40 min drive outside of Auckland. We are dedicated to producing a large range of fresh vegetables, edible flowers, garnish and herbs for our two restaurants Ahi and Origine, which are both located in Commercial Bay, in Auckland CBD.

We are passionate about regenerative farming practices, ecological stewardship, and growing high-quality produce. We believe in nurturing our crops, land and workers in a way that supports healthy ecosystems, sustainable farming practices and a supportive work environment.

Cultivating, transplanting, compost management, bed preparation (broad forking/tilthing), direct sowing and nursery work

We would ideally like to find someone with gardening skills and experience, who understands basic plant needs and market gardening processes and requirements. We are considering people without experience but with a passion for our work and trying to get into market gardening.
