Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using PureGround ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our platform.
2. About PureGround
PureGround is a niche jobs marketplace connecting organic, biodynamic, and chemical-free agricultural and horticultural businesses in New Zealand with values-aligned jobseekers. We provide tools for employers to post job listings, manage certification claims, and process payments.
3. Employer Obligations
Employers must provide accurate, truthful information about their organisation and job listings. Job postings must be for genuine, lawful employment opportunities. Employers are responsible for the content of their listings and for complying with all applicable New Zealand employment and anti-discrimination laws. We reserve the right to remove listings that are misleading, unlawful, or inconsistent with the values of the PureGround community.
4. Jobseeker Use
Jobseekers may browse and apply for job listings free of charge. Jobseekers agree to provide accurate information in applications and to use the platform only for genuine employment-seeking purposes. PureGround is not a party to any employment relationship between employers and jobseekers.
5. Posting Fees and Subscriptions
Employers may post jobs on a pay-per-post basis, purchase credit packs, or subscribe to a monthly or annual plan. All fees are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are processed securely via Stripe. Payments are non-refundable except where required by New Zealand consumer law. Subscription plans automatically renew until cancelled. Employers may cancel a subscription at any time from their billing dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
6. Certification Claims
Employers may declare growing practices and certifications on their profiles. Verifiable claims (such as certified organic or biodynamic) require supporting documentation and are subject to review by our team. Self-declared claims (such as spray-free or chemical-free) are not independently verified. PureGround reserves the right to reject or remove certification claims that cannot be substantiated. Misrepresentation of certifications may result in account suspension.
7. Prohibited Content
Users must not post content that is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise harmful. Job listings must not require application fees from jobseekers or engage in deceptive recruitment practices. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.
8. Intellectual Property
PureGround retains all rights to the platform, including its design, branding, and software. Employers retain ownership of their organisation name, logo, job listing content, and certification documents. By posting content on PureGround, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it on our platform for the purpose of operating the service.
9. Privacy
Your use of PureGround is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the platform, you consent to the practices described in that policy.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
PureGround is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee that job listings will result in successful hires, nor that jobseekers will find employment. To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, PureGround shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you have paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Employers may close their account at any time. Upon termination, listings will be removed and subscriptions cancelled. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and governing law) shall remain in effect.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active users via email. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of PureGround shall be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.
